Abseil for Youth is Sir David Martin Foundation’s annual fundraiser. Each year hundreds of brave people face their fears to abseil down 1 Market Street, (a 33 floor/135 metre skyscraper) to help raise much needed funds for young people with substance addiction, mental illness, homelessness and unemployment.
Sir David Martin Foundation is a major funder of Mission Australia’s Triple Care Farm, a unique, holistic treatment centre which each year gives over 200 vulnerable young Australians, aged 16-24, a safe place to get well and prepare for new opportunities. Visit our social good page to learn more about Triple Care Farm and the significant impact it has on youth in crisis.
Abseil for Youth, proudly supported by Investa Property Group and Urban Descent, has raised more than $2.6 million since starting in 2010. Join us this year, and help us reach our $3 million target!

“I have never felt more nervous in my life! But once I stepped over the edge of the 33 floor building to abseil, I felt empowered to complete the descent, knowing that I was helping a young person in crisis to get a second chance in life.” Juliann Dumma - past abseiler
“I’ve abseiled every year since 2014, and absolutely love it! It’s an incredible event to be part of and raising the funds is the easy part compared to the challenges the young people at Triple Care Farm are going through. I know each time I step over the edge, and complete the 135 metre descent down the building, I am making a difference!” Jay O'Neill
